Privacy Policy and KVKK Information Notice
This text is a draft and will be reviewed by a lawyer before it goes live.
This notice explains how AquaVisionary processes the personal data we collect through aquavisionary.com, under Türkiye's Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 ("KVKK"). It also covers the EU General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR") for visitors from the European Union.
Data controller
The data controller is AquaVisionary (a venture in the process of being incorporated).

Personal data we process
- Identity and contact details: full name, phone number, email address.
- Farm details: farm or company name, province, fish species, farm type, approximate number of pools, cameras and internet on site, and your message.
- Consent records: your acknowledgement of this notice, your marketing consent if given, and their dates.
- Technical data: IP address and browser details to prevent abuse. With your consent, anonymous usage statistics.
Why we process it
- To assess your pilot request and contact you.
- To hold discussions about the pilot programme and a possible contract.
- To send the automatic email confirming we received your request.
- To prevent abuse of the form and unwanted submissions.
- With your consent, to send news and announcements by email.
- With your consent, to collect anonymous usage statistics to improve the site.
- To meet our legal obligations.
Legal bases
Under Article 5 of KVKK we rely on: processing directly related to entering into a contract, to assess your pilot request and contact you (Art. 5/2-c); our legitimate interest in preventing abuse of the form (Art. 5/2-f); our legal obligations (Art. 5/2-ç); and your explicit consent for marketing emails and analytics (Art. 5/1).
You can withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect processing carried out before it.
How we collect it
We collect data directly from you through the pilot request form, email and WhatsApp, and technical data automatically when you visit the site.
Sharing and international transfers
We do not sell your personal data. To provide the service we share it with these suppliers: Vercel Inc. (USA) for hosting, Resend (USA) for sending email, and, if enabled, Cloudflare Inc. (USA) for form security.
Because these suppliers' servers are outside Türkiye, transfers are made in line with Article 9 of KVKK.
Where the law requires it, we may share data with competent public authorities.
How long we keep it
We keep pilot request data for a reasonable period needed for the purpose after the request is concluded, then delete, destroy or anonymise it.
When you withdraw marketing consent, we remove your contact details from the marketing list straight away.
Your rights under Article 11 of KVKK
- To learn whether your personal data is processed.
- To request information about the processing.
- To learn the purpose of processing and whether data is used accordingly.
- To know the third parties in Türkiye or abroad that data is transferred to.
- To request correction of incomplete or inaccurate data.
- To request deletion or destruction under the conditions in Article 7 of KVKK.
- To request that corrections, deletions and destructions are notified to the third parties the data was transferred to.
- To object to a result against you that arises solely from automated analysis.
- To claim compensation for damage caused by unlawful processing.
How to make a request
To use your rights, email privacyaquavisionary.com. We answer free of charge within 30 days at the latest.
If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Turkish Personal Data Protection Board.
Visitors from the European Union (GDPR)
If you visit from the EU, you also have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and objection under the GDPR.
Our legal bases are steps prior to a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)), legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) and consent (Art. 6(1)(a)). You have the right to complain to the data protection authority in your country.
Changes
We update this notice when needed. The current version is always on this page, and the date at the top shows the last update.
